An Escambia County jury on Friday convicted Manuel Jacquet, 29, of organized fraud between $20,000 and $50,000, selling motor vehicles without a dealer's license, and 11 counts of sale of rebuilt vehicles without notice. Escambia County JailBetween November 2016 and August 2017, Jacquet advertised himself as a licensed car dealer, and he used social media and websites to sell the vehicles under the company name Onest Motors. He falsely represented the cars' history and title status to complete the sales and received more than $38,000 from 11 victims, according to the State Attorney's Office.
